"It is what it is ... and we do not belong to any of it ... that's because we *are* it." Thank you Patti always for your writing, your walks, your friends and family, your dinner accoutrements -- but mostly, thank you for your calming, always light-filled voice. I may be blindfolded, and it is dark, but I reach out and there it is -- your hand reaching back. Thank you Patti for all you be.
I was hoping you would read this next! I think it's the most beautiful thing you've ever written
(with perhaps the exception of "Zug Island", my favorite poem since I was very young). I always think of William Blake when I read it and I dream of the day when there are no more bombs falling from the sky and the world is safe and the people remember we are all one. The miracle is love....
Being visited by you and your words Patti brings an old memory up in my mind.
There is a line in the movie “Now Voyager” — did you ever see it? The line is spoken by Bette Davis’ character to her mother’s nurse. The nurse has a very special way of calming her mother who is a quite difficult woman. She does it with a blend of confidence, wisdom and a bit of humor.
Bette says to the nurse, “I suspect — you are a treasure.”
Thank you for the reading, exquisite as always, both the words and your voice reading them out.
I've had a pretty bad day so the reading and your kind message has lifted my spirits and gave me hope for 'a good night unfettered by dread or doubt'. ♡ Have a good peaceful night too xx
Thank you for this treasure of a poem...so carefully quietly whilst positively uplifting in these very troubled times.
love.
“Unfettered by dread or doubt” Thank you!!! 💜

It’s a great line. A sweet compliment.

And we are the new Jerusalem....
It’s wonderful to listen to this before my slumber, lay my head down on the pillow, and close my eyes. Your voice is so soothing. ❤️
