I don't know much about the latest poetic theory, but I think "Seasons of Hell" is like a constellation of words scattered in fascinating, fragmented, shimmering language.

I am glad that you feel optimistic and happy to be alive. For me, your optimism is a source of strength, always, but especially now at a time when I need all the strength and optimism I can get. No matter what happens, you consistently say yes to life, every aspect of it. To my core, I understand that, and try to do the same.

I am looking forward to Rimbaud month. I am now on two medicines of last resort against two separate infections I have been fighting for 6 months. It is a strange thing to be on this precipice. Scary, yes, but at least I know that nothing I ever said I felt or believed and nothing I was doing before was false or forced because I am up against the wall now, and there’s nothing I want to do other than what I’m doing: to be useful in my work, to love others and the earth, and, as you powerfully model, Patti, and this community reflects -- to be optimistic, and happy to be alive.

With blessings upon the rain and gratitude for the sun,

Robin

Hello Robin, it’s nice to say hello to you again. All the best with the new medication, I hope it works for you. I am off to Japan with some friends soon. When I visit a temple I will sign a candle in your name. At the end of the day, the monks gather all the candles, light them, then say prayers over them. I did this for a friend many years ago with great success for her. Your way with words has always lifted me up and so I would like to try to lift your spirits up in return.

Always hopeful
