“Like” isn’t the word for how I feel about this. No word adequate to how extraordinary it is, and how much I needed it. I am still in the stupor of having just lost a friend, contemplating, again and again:

Oh-
To be
Not anyone
Gone
This maze of being . . .
When my friend was nearing the end, she wrote: “I am ready to take my swan dive into the cosmic soup.” Crossover she will.
“A sign lavished upon an inspired heaven” is beautiful beyond belief. I can’t wait until we read this whole piece.
Thank you so much for this, Patti. Thank you to all for this community. Life is richer, and the world is more bearable for its existence.
Dear Robin, I'm very sorry for the loss of your dear friend. I hope you can find some comfort, also in this precious space. Sending you a big hug, Anna.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, Robin. I thought I'd commented on it when you first mentioned it but it appears I didn't. My mind is elsewhere these days. I love that she wrote about diving into the cosmic soup. She sounds like she was a wonderful person. Thinking of you.
Thank you for your kindness, Jim. I truly appreciate it. She was a wonderful person: kind, wise, even funny in the face of great suffering, and without a trace of bitterness. I will miss her greatly.
I understand about your mind being elsewhere. When my friend died, I had the sensation of feeling unequipped to face a personal grief while struggling to absorb and endure the horrors of the larger world. But we don’t get a choice about how much we can take in. Life happens and we’re here to show up for it as best we can. It helps to come here.

So sorry to hear of your sadness and loss of your friend Robin ! Sending much love and warmest wishes to you . Take care . X
Thank you so much, Sue. I appreciate your kindness more than I can say. With warmth and affection, as ever,
Robin
Your friend sounds amazing: arms open wide, swan diving into that magical ocean! Thank you for giving us this glimpse of her. Stay strong, Robin.
Thank you so much for imagining her, Janet. I am convinced that if others can imagine those we love and have lost, they aren’t really lost.
Thank you with all my heart,
Robin
I am convinced of that, too. We keep their beautiful spirits alive and with us.
Indeed we do.
Warmly,
Robin
