thank you so much for reading to us..I feel so privileged to be listening and sharing with all of you from far and wide who are part of this special space...
Hi Patti, Thank you for your beautiful reading. I listened to it a couple of times.
You look so cute in your hat. My sister-in-law is a magnificent knitter (like your sister Linda) and has made hats, scarves and other things for my family. What a great talent to have.... and share.
You are right about understanding another language. I speak only one...understand some of Spanish and Italian. It's wonderful to be in another country and understand their native tongue. My husband speaks many languages and he tells me it's a very different feeling to be in foreign country and be able to converse with the locals.
Thank you as always for sharing and for suggestions of books and such. I saw Poor Things this week based on your recommendation - wow, what a wild movie!
Thank you, humbling it is listening to you and grateful for allowing us to be with you for this time, I love to hear you mentioning the moon, amongst all the other things too obviously.
Thank you Patti for sharing with us these intimate, special moments of your life, and the stories and experiences that bless this space with the texture of your authenticity. May you rest well. Until the ‘morrow, adieu.
The feeling evoked from this little chapter reminds me of reading Lord of the Flies. I reread that book after the 01/06/21 attempted coup by republican insurrectionist because I wanted a refresher on the danger of mob mentality.
I love reading comments on Patti's postings - especially in regards to the power of books from young people who are then motivated to look into the offerings she suggests from writers she's been "moved by". that's really awesome!
Yes, especially with all the insane book banning that has become the latest tactic to chip away at rights, especially from kids in elementary, middle and high school. The school board for the county that surrounds the city I live in in rural Virginia just installed a ‘temporary’ book ban. The kid are organizing against it, have formed an opposition group and are holding public discussions.
I love reading your books to some friends, my mum. My mum now wants to read your books too, cause she was a great fan of your music ❤💫✨ and some friends want me to read more.
There is a friend from my teenage days, she thinks that I am a sister of yours.
Currently I am reading biographies about Paula Modersohn Becker, Clara Westhoff-Rilke and there are some letters from R.M.Rilke too.
La belle epoque 🌹
Well no matter if you already did read something, I could listen again. And also I am not here from the beginning on. And I love to read books several times. Also I am german and parallel translating to understand you : )
You are so right. It is such a tremendous gift and luxury and honor to be able to read. And thank you for reading to us. That is also a delicious, often dreamlike experience.
Oh, do enjoy reading the Joyce bio!! I’m a “Joycean”. My field is Irish Lot, and I’m a devoted Joycean. February 2 was his birthday. The International Joyce Symposium is in Glasgow this coming June! If all goes well, I’ll be there. So happy that you love the Joyce bio. And yes, being me to read is a treasure. Loving to read is one of life’s greatest gifts!!

Such evocative words, like dreams and strange pasts remembered but displaced. 💜

Hi Patti, yes it's early morning here in Scotland. Always a great way to start the day with one of your videos. Thanks Jane x
This feels like a dream and the beauty-bitterness of life. And, startling beauty mixed with terror
Damn. That was some powerful shit, Patti.
Damn.
