I am a great admirer of your poetry and it's been very exciting for me to hear you read The Coral Sea. Some time ago I wrote these simple verses thinking of artists like you:
groupies...right. Like chicks used to run after the Beatles and the Stones... I guess guys like me with canes and their dentures falling out chase you after the show nowadays.
I’m stopping myself from elaborating about you and Dylan and Taylor, except to say that this is the world we live in now, and if the line in a song means a whole lot of young people who don’t yet know of you , will now search your name and find out, and then as some divine intervention, this short-circuit in the matrix can only be a good thing.
I have mainly returned though, because last time I had forgotten to also thank you for your mention of Nicolas de Stahl and his paintings. In my early twenties, my artist boyfriend introduced me to his work and I loved his paintings immediately. Decades and decades later, my artist friend is still making a living as an artist and I’m sure he still loves de Stahl too. A true nostalgic moment, totally transporting to another time and place, and I was sad to learn, something I did not know when I was younger, that he had taken his own life…. it became even more lovely that you had enlivened his memory and made known the beauty of his art.
Great to see you this morning in sunny London. You have indeed been busy, I’ve seen you on Instagram, so many books you’ve signed and still a smile on your face. Thank you for the reading Soloman Islands it seems especially appropriate in these times. I’m off now to walk on Hampstead Heath and immerse myself in nature 🙏
I knew two men growing up, a history teacher and my best friend's dad, they both served as American soldiers in New Guinea. They rarely talked about the War, but occasionally snippets would come out that were fascinating and nightmarish. The terrors of that jungle war followed them like their own shadows. I love that M is heading to a place that is so primal.
PS my old coworkers used to call me Frylock... and Meatwad is one of my all-time favorite characters in Art.
Truly appreciate the kindness and loving energy. Am really sick. Ashamed of what feels like weakness, but I cannot take this degree of suffering, of children especially. Intolerable the cruelty.
Thank you for caring about me. To you, friends, and to the coral sea,
Sometimes it takes longer to piece your heart back together again- you are not alone there, yet our suffering, like grief, is mostly done alone.
It is comforting to know you have many hearts reaching out to you and I’m sure like me, there are many who wish you to recover from the torment of helplessness and the sickening relentlessness of it all. Stay connected here Robin- even by the thinnest gossamer thread, until you find your strength again. Amongst others I will be patiently waiting. Sending love, and more love. 💜
I just noticed your glasses for some reason. Nice glasses!
Every time I watch your posts you drop some fantastic piece of your life story – like your Dad's experiences in New Guinea. Priceless.
I found my copy of The Coral Sea at the Strand back in 1996. I was also thrilled to find a dirty, beat-up first edition of Salinger's Raise High The Roofbeams, Carpenters and Seymour: An Introduction on one of the trolleys outside.
Oh Patti, you're mentioned in the chorus of Taylor Swift's new album's title track that released tonight. Your name has been humbly chanted into the ears of millions of people tonight. I'm excited for more young women to maybe get turned on to your art.
Patti - Taylor Swift name dropped you in her new song "The Tortured Poets Department". This will invite so many people to your work. This will be quite an experience for you - her fans hang on her every word and she may be the only poet they consider themselves a fan of <3 Net positive.
Patti, non mi sorprenderebbe un po ' se riuscissi a leggere questo. Il tuo dono per la lingua è sempre stato apprezzato da questo ascoltatore da quando ha scoperto la Pasqua attraverso Creem magazine. Buona primavera. Continua a leggere per noi! Tim/Portland, OR
As with everything you do -
I love The Coral Sea.
Hi Patti!
I am a great admirer of your poetry and it's been very exciting for me to hear you read The Coral Sea. Some time ago I wrote these simple verses thinking of artists like you:
"(...)el arte besándonos la frente
con su piedad.
Con su revolución
y su piedad"
"(...)art kissing our foreheads
with its mercy.
With its revolution
and its mercy".
Thank you always,
Miriam
“crazy old broad” 😂😂😂😂♥️🎉
We know that you read them! 💜
You’re sitting in the subway reading DIVINE COMEDY in Italian without realizing it for a bit: va bene!

Cheers as always from Detroit.
Taylor Swift pays homage to you, Patti, and Dylan Thomas in a song on her new album. Clever lyrics.
I’d love to go to a book signing - will there be any others?

Wishing you better days Robin. Peace to you...and a big hug.

Thank you so much for your kindness. I wish you and everyone here strength and peace and love.
Sending love and hugs from London 🙏
Thank you so much. Sending the same to you.
Will keep you in my simple pagan healing prayers Robin.
So sorry that you're feeling so ill, Robin. You have no reason to feel ashamed. Be good to yourself. Wishing you nothing but the best.

I need a People Have The Power duet with Patti and Taylor. That would reach awhole new generation so profoundly.
Yes! And performing live at a Joe Biden rally!
