I have been a free subscriber for a time now because you share the best stuff. I cant tell you how many books I have purchased and music after you spoke about it. But the other day you said something that resonated, echoed and shook me to the core. You reminded me of something that I have known...it was my secret and you shared it with me. So I have a life rule, I have to throw money where I am fed. You fed me that day, I mean really fed me, so I became a paid subscriber. I'm so full that I cant even eat anymore, like its the 11th and I'm just listening to the 6th. And it may take me another week to listen again. I just wanted to acknowledge publicly, that you fed me. Thank you for hearing and speaking.

Hammering the beans

for my cowboy coffee

atop a ribbiting mountain

under a hazy jolly moon

Brioche toast and goat cheese

balanced on my knees

I feel grateful to be free

Happy New Year! I love, specifically, hearing you tell the stories of these passionate people who were filled with integrity. I felt Joan of Arc when you spoke of her. Thank you.

2:20 am 6th Jan I was woken by a nightmare which made me get up, eventually about 20 minutes later I saw the full moon in a clear sky outside of my back door, woken just to see you!! I remember muttering angrily but it was beautiful. Anyway Patti my copy of A Book of Days arrived too ❤️ 🙏

Happy wolf moon, a day late. I was waylaid by being unwell. This video is wonderful for many reasons, but I am especially moved by your reminder of the “principle and ardent fervor of youth.” One cannot - or I cannot - hear or read those words without thinking of the youth in Iran who are fighting with such ardent fervor, who, like Joan of Arc, are giving their lives for their principles. Thinking especially of Mohammed Hosseini and Mohamed Karami, who have just been executed. May Joan of Arc and all the saints and spiritual guides be with them. May the wolf moon give to and take nothing from them. May the suffering we feel for their suffering be of some use to them.

I too thought of the those in Iran while watching and listening to Patti. We must not give up hope. Joan of Arc has always meant a lot to me. Be well soon Robin. Beautiful words you have shared here.

Thank you, Robin, for connecting this with the struggles and horror in Iran. I've been almost numb thinking about the recent executions. The murder of Masha Amini was disturbing enough. Now the men who run that country, thoughts twisted by their own fears and insecurities that cause them to see religion, not as an expression of love, but as a force of control and oppression, kill their own children. The fact that the protests continue is extraordinary. Joan faced the fire with her faith and so do those people in the streets, a faith in freedom and a better life. We can hope and stand with them in any way we can.

I am sorry to hear about your on-going health issues. As usual, I wish you nothing but the best. Your thoughts are always timely and valued. Take good care

I am reading and absorbing your wonderful photography in the Book of Days... what a shame about Joan of Arc. I didn't know about the inscription on the wall where she was burnt, and that iit s so touching.

Thanks.

Just needed a place to write and say how much I love the Book of Days. I've resisted the temptation to thumb through it and drink it all in (I admit that I did look up some birthdays) and am looking at it fresh every morning. What a great way to start each day. Thanks Patti.

Thank you Patti, You are here for us.

We are contemporaries (I’m 72,)

But you are a strong Gaia to me it is an honor to know you through the years. THESE years, seem most important, though. Perhaps I felt this during each set of “years.” What is time?

This post is a favorite! Appreciate the clear and succinct description of a young soldier who happened to be female. Courage and faith, 2 qualities I need to focus on. Thank you, dear Patti.

The statue of Jeanne d'Arc shown by Patti appears to be in the Chapelle Saint-François de Sartre in the Saint-Roch church in Paris.
