Hi! Yesterday I went to see the installation Correspondences in Bogotá and despite the fact I missed your performance in July here, I was lucky to hear Santiago Gardeazabal, I guess, doing a “guided” tour in the exhibition when I finished watching the exhibition. He explained wonderfully everything and mentioned all the references to film directors I'm not familiar with, he told us about the story you told him about lost whales and dolphins ( I had no idea that was happening down deep in the oceans of our planet), Chernobyl, Medea. By reading your Correspondence with Stephan, I could grasp better the whole message of the exhibition despite my ignorance :) what I loved the most about Correspondences is how your poems are presented, socialized in such a multimodal way. It made me dream of my own poems presented that way an not in a hardcover printed book. Thank you for showing me there are many other ways to socialize poems. Thank you for putting down your words alongside soundscapes, video, imagery. Thank you :)

If you happen to be there on Sunday, check out the Usaquén Park, where there is a fabulous street market. I hope your altitude sickness has abated by now <3

Great photos. Hope you are feeling better, altitude sickness is a very strange thing and you never know when or who will get it.

Hope the performance went well and like you my mind is on those awful fires🙏

Patti, I just saw an excerpt from what I assume is the press conference this morning wherein you sang “Wing” a cappella. I can’t believe you did that after you were just the other day feeling unwell. It was beautiful. Blessings on your energy and health.

It can be seen on instagram, but for those herein who are not on instagram, could you post a link to it so everyone here can see?

Greetings from Alaska. I’m reading from my book Northbound Heart at WRITERS BLOCK BOOKSHOP in Anchorage. A story about when I met Gregory Corso at Shakespeare & Co. in 1991 when I was living above the shop. I’ve always wanted to present it to you somehow. Maybe I’ll put it on Substack when I get back to Tennessee. Buena suerte en Columbia. Come to Alaska some day! Play Salmonfest. They have a new main stage. Love & light to you- Tim E.

Thank you for these photos, Patti, and for describing some of what you’re doing. I’m sorry you got sick and grateful that you are feeling better.

The comments on this thread are among the most beautiful of any I’ve read. This is such an extraordinary community, which gets richer every day. Thank you to everyone, and to you, Patti, for creating this space.

Wishing you a great performance tonight and good health to all, always.
