I love travel too. Im from Holland. Love to listen you. Waiting for your book. Hearing your words. I travelled to Helsinki too, heartsfriend of my daughter we visited. Amazing to cycle there.
Been to the ex-colonies of Holland: Cariben, Indonesia.
Lived and worked medically in London. Asia is so special. People are so humane friendly.
We cycled there to have some cool wind round us. Locals applaud when we arrived at a village/town, cycling. Wondered if we came all the way from God knows where.. home.
Enjoy your trip, Alhambra, Grenada, allπ₯πΊπ
Hi Patti, Iβm second generation immigrant from Scotland. My grandfather was an illegal immigrant who was a stowaway on a ship to NY. He married a Scottish girl in NJ who also was new to the US. We grew up with kilts and bagpipes in the closet! Iβve been fortunate enough to have traveled the world as well. Italy, France, British Isles, Morocco, Australia, NZ, Nepal, Thailand, Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, and beautiful Canada! In my seventh decade and travel is a bit more expensive and exhausting now, so Iβm enjoying Colorado where Iβve lived for near 50 years. Thank you for being you! Words cannot express how grateful I am for you, your sharing of your self, and your kindness and experience.
Hey Patti, I am a bit late to this "silver thread". I've got jet lag, with more lag than jet! Am in Melbourne, Australia on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the East Kulin nation. β€οΈ your bamboo loo paper. And as ever, β€οΈ you!
Hello back Patti. Thank you for your talk this morning. One of my favorite books as a child was, I am no longer sure of title since I donβt have any longer, was about children from other lands. Fairly large and in color. My parents said ever since I could walk I was always leaving, and didnβt look back. I guess I always wanted to see what was around the corner. As Iβm older now I have a different perspective for myself. Itβs more about the connections Iβve made already and I donβt need to go anywhere to do this. Remains to be seen if I do or donβt. Susan B
Hi Patty. I grew up in Arlington, MA (east of Lexington) when I was 16 (1982) I finally saw Harvard Square and was fascinated with the street musicians. My parents never took us there, one town away. Your story related to me Thanks.
