Many thanks for finding the Housman poem and reading it in such a meaningful way...it's so valuable to have the poem re-invoked at this time.

What a surprise to me. I came across this exact poem on Saturday afternoon. I had a small gift for a friend's birthday. I had just picked up an old book of verses from a thrift store. I decided to quickly pick a small pleasant poem, cut it out, and roll it up and attach it to the box in lieu of a bow. I chose The Stars Have Not Dealt Me by Housman, which was right above this same Easter Hymn. What a pleasant surprise to hear you read it.

Let's close our eyes and call the deep

slumbering land that just begins

When day is done and little dreamers spin.
