Thanks for the traveling tips. I’m going on a plane to San Francisco this morning for the big shindig.I wanted to just carry on but my bag was to small, I’m going up for a week.I’m going to downsize and hope for the best.See you soon.
Wonderful Patti, I love the excitement and clarity of preparing to travel. Each item becomes precious and hopefully useful. You are right to take less and worry less...imagine all the books lined up hoping they will be the one you pick :)
Wonderful that travel, and better contemplative travel is such an integral element of your life. You mention food. When I travel of course as an artist galleries and artist communities are something I immerse myself in, but first there's food. I believe that culture begins in the kitchen. My rhythm is set. Enjoy Venice.
Hi Patti, the book you were describing, stream of consciousness style, have you ever read Clarice Lispector? It seems like you would really like her. Especially her books Aqua Viva and The Passion of GH!
Wonderful post. Patti, please do remind your readers to make a plan to vote in the November 5 elections, and to vote all the way down the ballot, in every race. You often reference the dark times we live in, and I understand your newsletter is mostly about art, music, and our inner lives. But this election is existential--will we remain anything close to a democracy or not? Your readers who live in the US should make sure they are registered and have a voting plan. Your US citizen readers who live outside the US should go to votefromabroad.org to register/request their abroad absentee ballots today. I live in the UK and know that abroad votes have been and can again be the 'margin of victory' in close elections. The country and the world depend on us, the voters, to use the power we still have. Please highlight this.
You are a wonderful friend who I’ve only met twice on Substack. I always enjoy spending time with you… from here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Enjoy your travel to Venice.
All of the love below and so much more. Handy hints and the…

Thankyou Patti for sharing little cameos of your life with us - you are a true friend even tho I’ll never meet you in person. Friendship is everything! 💖🕊️👣
Dear Patti, Safe travels in all your journeys. I have a real hard time traveling light. You are an inspiration! Thank you for a clearer picture of your tarot cards. They are so beautiful.
Merci Patti de partager avec nous votre intimité et de nous rappeler que nous devons être reconnaissants de boire de l'eau rien qu'en ouvrant un robinet. Bon voyage !
Safe travels, Patti! Sending love from Philadelphia ❤️
