I entered the world on November 4, 1995 with the frantic speed of someone who couldn’t wait to arrive, delivered by a nurse and my father. Since reading Just Kids and later learning of Fred’s passing, I have felt our stories braided together, even if only by the significance of a single day. Much love to you, Patti ❤️
Hi Richard. Listening to right now. A worthy addition to my library of “Wild Leaves” recordings. Tosches’ reading really adds emotion to an already emotive composition.
My mother passed on the same day as her namesake great-granddaughter was born. What sorrow and what joy. Your words of remembrance always bring me comfort Patti. Thank you x
Patti, thank you always for your stories and ways of seeing the world. A friend and I both were saying to each other how your writing and perspective gives us comfort and inspiration in how to be in all of the moments of life.
You were so generous in telling the story of you and Robert in Just Kids — that when I read this, I can spontaneously touch it with my whole heart. Thank you for letting us in.
Love the photo of you and Fred. Patti, you certainly have had more than your share of loss in this world. You continue to bring hope, peace and love to us. Thank you for all you do.
This is the first time I’ve seen that photo of you and Fred. More love and joy could not be depicted. I know that still lives in your heart and that he receives it and sends it back through the Universe. 🙏🫶
Thank you for this and sharing your memories of loss and love. I've seen a lot of death this year and sometimes the only thing that keeps me going is knowing I will move from 'I'm sorry I lost...' to 'I'm glad we had....'. We can't avoid death, but we can control how we deal with it, and eventually, you must dance.
Thanks for the lovely words and photos. November is a time of loss and gratitude for me, as well. We are looking forward to seeing you again in Sarasota next week. Hopefully, you will get a chance to visit the Bob Rauschenberg Gallery while you are here to see the exhibition William S. Burroughs & Laurie Anderson - Language is a Virus

Bellies bare
Minds like clear skies

Happy earth birthday to Robert and happy rebirth to Fred 🤍. They’ve been with you all this time, maybe the future wasn’t so uncertain after all.
Thank you beautiful, Patti.

We walk with our people and hear them with our hearts! Oh I love that! Like streams to the ocean, our hearts carry the tides. Much love to you. 🫶🏻

Not sure if you ever visited Bob Rauschenberg on Captiva while he was alive but the gallery still holds his presence through art.
