This post was very nice, but I am distraught by your recommendation to subscribe to Ralph Nader. While many will disagree with me, I hold him personally responsible for being a leftist ideologue and peeling voters from Gore in the presidential election, which led to hundreds of thousands of deaths in Iraq and continuing neglect of climate change, and a lot more. He is a sanctimonious egoist unwilling to hold his nose to win and keep the right wing out of power. I could not disagree with your recommendation more to listen to someone who is not to be trusted anymore thank you.
I am determined to spend more time in your world-- the world of poetry and music, mystery and beauty and wonder- despite the suffering- or perhaps actually encompassing it completely. You remind me why I loved poetry as a child- very grown up by 9 years old. I lost that somehow over the past few years and now, at 63, I'm getting reminded of how good it is to be in that 'place.' I'm not a writer but I love good writing-- and you, Patti, are not only a very good writer, but you share your passion for other people's lives and work, which can open up my mind to new experiences. It is truly amazing how a poem or a song or just a sentence or two can reignite the fire inside. I just love finding new Substack emails from you! (Now I just have to go back and read all the rest that I've missed-- in time. There's still time.) ❤️
I love especially: "I imagine them entering the same grand establishment, in heavenly hologram." My, Patti, how much this sentence says, and says it beautifully! You have such a delicate and beautiful touch when you write about your fellow poets and musicians. And you bring them together with such grace, admiration, and joy! Thanks for bringing us along to share some moments in heaven!
I love how you imagine the Nether World: full of great artists, a cafe, reading poetry, having good conversations and listening to great music... sounds like Heaven to me
Beautiful and soothing to listen to this music at night x
beautiful story , thanks Patti .
Poetry heals the wounds inflicted by reason. -- Novalis
Patti, your literary observations always open my eyes and lift this spirit. Thank you!
Comme c’est magnifique!
Please keep this great and illuminating selections coming! Miles like to quote (and exemplify) Debussy: "Music is the space between the notes."
Beautiful! 🙏❤️

Hello Miss Patti,
Perhaps you could write a guest post for me to add my music to your interests. I am a novice on the guitar and singing. I just let the words roll off the tongue and recorded more than one hundred songs last year. You can listen here: https://starlight39.substack.com/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=substack_profile

Never unholy, I believe 🤷🏼♂️ Still, your prose has a beautiful rhythm 🙏 Hey, I used your name in my last post. Hope it’s ok.
Thank you, dear Patti, for your words and for the lovely music that filled my room and my heart this morning. ❤️
