I love your photo of Mother Rose. Her wholesome beauty is comforting as well as her wonderful ways.

It's been a while since I've come around. Sometimes I lose myself in cloudland.

I've been offered a music partnership! This happened shortly after hearing your recent interview at Electric Lady Studios. I loved hearing about Lenny's lending of hands and wished I had my own Lenny as I struggle with cognitive and physical deficits. Not only did my wish come true, I got a whole team of Lennys!

I'll be back t'morrow

☀️

I will take your advice

I shall rise shining like the sun

.

.

Here's a simple poem I wrote

.

Mighty Ant

I wish to be a mighty ant

the strongest ant in the camp

the one to carry worldly weight

without pain

without aches

I wish to climb a Redwood Bob

to see the world

from the tippity top

to feel so tall

like a star in the night

shimmering

shimmering

shimmering bright

I wish to be so boldly brave

I wish to be unafraid

I wish to be a mighty ant

the strongest ant in the camp

I wish to be a mighty ant

the one who never says

"I can't"

Lovely tribute to your mother. My Mom was born on March 20, 1942 and I got to spend it with her this year. Thank you for the advise. I might try a little parsley and pepper in my oat meal.

She’s beautiful. I’m glad you had that lovely relationship. Sometimes I had that too with my mum. With my dad maybe more. I know I love and treasure those coffees at the kitchen table with my daughters who are now mums themselves. Books, music, films, creativity, funny things, life observations. It’s all inspiring. I’m glad you shared these lovely memories. I like the way you remember and honour people and are quietly thoughtful about them and share something meaningful about them. It’s very centring and speaks a lot to me. Have a good day. Pauline xx

As a boy growing up with his head full of shit it took me FOREVER to really appreciate how wonderful it was to just sit and talk with my Mom, and yes, I made up for it in later years with 1001 and one (?) "good talks" with her, but I always regretted not beginning sooner. Maybe she could've straightened me out sooner... Maybe I wouldn't have ended up shit-faced and naked atop an Army barracks in Germany for example. Before I got kicked out, I mean...

Happy Birthday to your wonderful Mother. Here in the UK it is Mothers Day so l too am thinking of my Mother. She always listened to the music on the radio and together we would sing along, discuss our favourites and dance. My love of music comes from those mornings in the kitchen and it’s how l always think of her. Love to all the Mothers out there 🙏 Mother Rose was beautiful 🖤🎶🎶🎶

Happy birthday to your own mommy. Your memories of your mommy touched me so much. My mama taught me how to walk and pray and read too. She got in trouble for teaching me how to read before I entered school, but I never remember her apologizing for that. What she did apologize for more than once was training me out of being lefthanded. Apparently there was a belief in the early 1950s that lefthanded children would have trouble in school. Being lefthanded would be the least of my problems in school. She loved books and I love books. I can't stop buying them, reading them, collecting them.
