thank you so much for never forgetting your subscribers Patti... It is so lovely to be 'with you' as you tour. Really thought- provoking photographs as well.
Hope you had a beautiful time in Lisbon. And peaceful rest times too.
So well said about the atmosphere of the place - lots of activity but also somehow very calm. I was there in January 2011. So beautiful and I haven't been since. So many little green places around everywhere even in winter. The light is special! Truly amazing for photography. I shot about 4 or 5 film rolls in about a week.... I thought I had lost one of them but then about a year later found it in a jacket pocket!
Maybe I can go this year and see the soundwalk collective exhibition :-)
Thank you for including us on your tour, Patti. It is wonderful to see and hear about these beautiful places through your eyes and words and photos.. and glad you are pausing to rest when you need to.
Thank you Patti as ever. I am off to a silent Buddhist retreat for the month of April. You will all be in my heart. Such darkness, as if there are no more pieces of the heart to break, but Patti has performed that always with such grace and courage.
I want to leave you with Mahalia Jackson (separated at birth from Patti)--it will offer another 6 minutes of refuge in dark times
Thank you for so generously sharing time with us! It’s always a pleasure to see you and to hear your words. We were in Lisbon last December, and the trees lining the main boulevard were strung with beautiful lights in the shape of hearts. It was very exciting to be riding along below them. Happy to know you and Jesse are sharing this time. A priceless gift. ♥️♥️
Àlways lovely to hear from you Patti and to see your beautiful photos of Lisbon. You are so good to find the time to check in with us in the midst of your busy life. Thank you . Oh, and happy birthday Jay, from Ireland xx
The town where the bold missionary who brought Christianity to Japan lived.
This reminds me of Shusaku Endo's "Silence".Christianity preached that people could die and be happy in the afterlife, and gave relief to the poor and needy.
Hope you will feel the respect and admiration I've always had for you, patti.
When I always, I mean since 1975 when my friends and I first cut school to listen to music and played Horses from the first time.
Dude. That really happened in a rented suburban house near the Airport in Seattle.
Please accept my grattitude

"As I progress in my chronology". Love that, such a simple observation of what it is, without judgement. Thank you Patti

Lisbon sounds magical. Get some rest, Patti. ❤️
I've never been to Lisbon, but the way you describe the light makes me want to get on a plane tomorrow. Moving up my travel list.
