"We three kings" has a symbolical and sentimental value for me. It was my son's Jason favorite song as a little boy, I could still hear his little voice telling me about the song. Another sentimental reason is the three kings was all we hoped for at Christmas growing up in Puerto Rico, at least until the 1960s. There was no Santa on the 25th, but one of three kings would bring us a gift as a child. To this date, at almost 70 , when I try to draw or paint something from the unconscious, the three kings appear out of the blue, wearing their crowns of different colors..
