Pathetic. Dalai Lama, a pawn of Western $ponsorship.. A Buddhist with millions of dollars.. and the forever lord of an organized religion which has no place (power) for women… Like Get Lost, this white patronage of patriarchy...

What a beautiful poem dear poetess to our spiritual messenger

My poem to both of our spiritual leaders how desperately we need your inspiration now to lift our broken wings --》

"and the road leads to the horizon it appears to be lit on fire watching the dropping walls between humanity

it holds us our open door the ribbons of diversity billow as doves gather underneath our world and lift up broken wings "

I remember this so well. Hard to believe all that time has passed already.

The Tibetan Buddhism is a deep and profound faith,

It is symbolised by prostration

Both knees, hands and forehead on the ground,

As on the Lhasa pilgrimage.

May the Dalai Lama continue to live in peace.

That is so beautiful, HH Dalai Lama would love to hear this sweet heartfelt poem no matter when his birthday is, as you know by now it was recently 💖

I, too, made a mistake - not having seen this earlier today. I first saw the subsequent post wherein you - Patti - corrected the date.

What an amazing video this is! Thank you so much for sharing it. I have watched it over and over and I’m grateful that you posted this late because it came like manna today, as did the beautiful poem you wrote for His Holiness.

I love the whole poem but especially this:

may your hands

be full of nothing

may your toys

scatter the sky

tiny yellow bundles

bursting like stars

like smiles

and the laughter

of a bell

Thank you so much, Patti. Thanks to everyone for all the kindness herein.

As ever,

Robin

His is a joyful humble presence - your poem captured that element for me. More humility, less hubris

would surely go a long way in improving relations with our fellow humans. A beautiful tribute, thank you.

Please permit me to add my good wishes to your own for HHt14 Dalai Lama. I met him early on the morning of July 4, 2000 in Washington, DC, when he approached me on the National Mall to chat. What a delightful experience, with a joy filled man! I will carry that memory with me always. 💖

Having met the Dalai Llama, he's got the wickedest most naughty sense of humor (for a holy monk), alas to be outdone in this achievement, only by Keith Richards. Happy belated Birthday.

Maybe the only time the Dalai Lama and Keith Richards have been mentioned in the same sentence. Take good care, Wing.
