True friendship is in opposition! At last something I don't totally agree with you on. Not that it matters to you but it's probably healthy for me not to think I agree with everything you say! I really struggled with Poor Things. It was exquisitely beautiful and Emma's performance and the world amazing. And some of the language. But it made me sick and I thought it an opportunity missed.

Thank you for taking us along on your lovely excursion with Lenny. I am going to see Poor Things on the week-end with a friend of fifty years too. The easy way of a true friend is treasure. Not sure what Raisnettes are but I do like Dark chocolate coated almonds.

Love hearing about your journey to the cinema with Lenny. Old friends are such a comfort and joy. I'm hoping to see the same film with an old pal too. Blessings.

Such a warmth reading about you and Lenny hanging out. He is my hero and I don’t even know why and don’t care. Hope to see one of your shows in the future. Much love from LA!

It was released here in the UK on my birthday so I went along with two of my kids having finished the book earlier that day & really looking forward to it. They are both in their thirties and we all loved it although my son ,who is a headmaster in a Catholic school , admitted in the car home that it’s not a movie he would have chosen to watch with me and his younger sister! Shock horror and there was me thinking I had raised all eight of them to be free spirits !!! Where did I go wrong Patti ? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Patti, Thanks for writing this piece along with the photos. It was a little unexpected in that, well, not pretentious at all, and unexpected by me because you’re you, a real life like it or not cultural icon. I recently moved to the Michigan north woods, but for 30 adult years, I lived by Cambridge Mass and visited Washington Square and surrounds alongside artists and intellectuals. You wrote about your weekend like I would expect my old friends to write about theirs.

Thanks for sharing this. Take good care of yourself, and know that you’re much loved.

That was almost a bit like you took us with you on the walk and to see the film. Thank you for the photos!

So good to have an old friend, good friends are worth so much - and get to go to the cinema together is great too.

Raisins with dark chocolate - mmmh! I think I only ever had the ones with milk chocolate. I prefer dark chocolate too!

Sounds like a lovely day. I too enjoyed Poor Things and will watch again. It was beautifully shot and the acting, superb. The theatre only had 6 people and a very elderly couple walked out. I felt some of the scenes crossed their boundaries. The guy in front of us announced that he hated it and just stayed because he paid for it.

"How fortunate to have a pal to share ramen and a movie."

That said Patti, I will have a wonderful day. Friends, memories and fearless pursuit of what we must do. I sometimes walk through a tiny cemetery near Old Street, London, where William Blake sleeps. Shall I seny HELLO from you ? or better - play him your song ? XO

Love struck on so many levels! Thank you for having this amazing connection with old friends and sharing with your followers. My husband and I “found” you on some great video by way of The Library of Congress! Last night, and we had an adventure-road experience! So wonderful!
