Hi Patti,

After two years now that my beloved dog left us, I still have moments of panic, I suddenly think I forgot to take care of her, that she's waiting somewhere for me...

I was at your concerts in Amsterdam and Brugge, so happy to see you, but I can imagine you are happy to be home.

I needed some days tot recover from your concerts, so I can't imagine how you must feel after all those evenings, giving the best of you...

Love,

Annick

Welcome Home, Patti! Your current library almost equals my lifetime list. Well, such an inspiration as I must get unplugged watching much too much PLUTO television repeats of vintage Star Trek (Original series and Next Generation) and Columbo episodes. And, from what I can see..one of your keys is simply attacking the read cycle in a relentless style without any distraction...sort of Marie Condo of the mind....just wiping those cerebral shelves clean.....again, thanks and welcome back.

Hi Patti, glad you got home safely. I enjoyed your first night in Dublin. Thank you for the photo of the ferris wheel. It brings back memories of visiting Vienna and being on the ferris wheel myself, in the 1990s.

I started reading Annie Ernaux after her Nobel prize made her known to me. I'm very into autobiographical fiction, have been since Kerouac, and her work has such a fine, nuanced point-of-view. So smart!

Happy to see you too! Fun to think of Ms Cairo kitty. Her spirit yet welcomes you home. Love your adventures and just imagine being in your boots! Relax and happy August.

So good to see you, Patti. For some reason I always feel better once I see you back at home in New York. I had so many little things to catch up on that I saved your visit until today…2 days late. I was saving it, just as one might save a special treat to really savor. Your book recommendations are contributing to my rather late literary education. I picked up Annie Ernaux’s book after your recommendation a few videos ago, and devoured it. So brave, and so reassuring at the same time.

Welcome back, Patti. Vienna is a place I would like to visit. Before you left on your European tour you spoke about the books written by Annie Ernaux. I picked up A Woman’s Story, and just loved it. I have just started her autobiographical book, The Years, and once again I am thoroughly enjoying her writing style. Sort of missed you and I am happy your home safely.

Welcome Home Patti Smith - thank you for sharing all of your wonderful travels, and stories, and pictures. I recently purchased an Annual Membership to Selby Gardens when I learned you are Artist In Residence there. Any chances of you coming back to Sarasota in the next year? I sure do regret not having known to possibly see you there in November 2023 and February 2024. Regards, Slake from Tampa

Deezer is telling me that my most-streamed artists in July were Patti Smith, jazz pianist Bob Baldwin, and Valentine Wolfe, and my “obsession song” was Dancing Barefoot by Patti Smith. Sounds about right.
