I’ve seen Patti countless times. . I lived in New York for a while and then 23 years in London UK. She performed often there - most memorable was a charity performance at a very old church in need of repair. I took my Twelve year old daughter who asked if I to ought Patti would sing the words ‘Jesus died for somebody’s sins but not mine’ as it was a

Church. I said I suspected she would. And sure enough she did. My daughter was delighted. Next day I heard her tell a friend’ everyone in my class went to see the Spice girls. My mom took me to see Patti Smith!’ Lol

Rest well my friend! I love to say, “My Friend”. Richie Havens once signed a CD I had bought at a concert of his in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. He started his note with, my friend along with his signature. Thanks for sharing your time with us. I am happy for you to share your favorite authors and the books they wrote. I never heard of Genet, forgive me I was not a reader until later in life. I just turned 69 and didn’t realize how much I was missing by not reading. Anyway I just ordered a paperback copy of A Thief’s Journal. Also Roses are so beautiful my wife’s favorite is the Yellow Rose.

Stay healthy and rest up my friend.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness!

So glad you are home and can rest now dear Patti, taking comfort in Genet's writings.

What a beautiful rose from Robert. I also love roses so much - how can one not love the perfection of roses.

It's a rainy night, not in Soho but downtown Brisbane, Australia. Storms are brewing and fires burn on the other side of the country. And so the crazy summer starts. Floods and fires. Grateful to have shelter in these challenging times.

Grateful to have your voice, your notes, always checking in on us Patti. We are all so blessed.

It is Beethoven's birthday in December too. Actual day unknown. It is a relief to know you are resting at home now after your travels. Take care in the colder weather.
