Hello everyone,
I am back from New Jersey and will be posting again soon. This is a U2 song I really like called Love is all we have left. I don’t know if I posted it before, but it’s a live performance with Tony Shanahan on piano. I find the song very touching.
Today I finished a difficult section of my book. I believe I will make my deadline of January 2, so I am quite happy. I have a few different books to choose reading. One I read some time ago, Damien by Herman Hesse and the other recommended to me by my cousin Anthony (who has impeccable taste) called The Empusium by Olga Tokarczuc. Two great possibilities.
In New Jersey my sister Linda taught me to make quinoa and introduced the spice sumac. I’ll be making it tonight. I’m also washing my hair which usually means time for a video post, so I will be visiting again later. For now, this little song; Tony plays beautifully. Well time for haircare including a quick rinse with diluted apple cider vinegar. I will see you all later. Hope everyone is faring well….
Dearest Patti. I have just finished reading your Devotion.
"Why do we write? A chorus erupts. Because we cannot simply live".
Thank you for not simply living.
You elevate our lives with your words.
With immense gratitude, Monica
I am currently reading the Empusium. It is so satisfying. Beautiful language. It amazes me how a translator can do the job and retain the authors voice.
