Sculpting in Time is a unique book. I had to read it for a class in the New school for Social Research. I wrote a final paper in my Cinema Studies class inspired by this book. It was the segment on film editing, which helped me understand my own editing process of stages in the creation of a painting on canvas
I always love your book recommendations. In the bustle of Christmas the thought of snuggling down later with carefully chosen tomes is lovely. Thanks for these ✨😘
Hello Patti, if you happen to read this tonight .. I posted here to play as broadcast, Electric Factory, Philadelphia, 17th December, 1995. The full show, your set and Bob's. It's a really good stereo recording. Set to play here in full in a few minutes, https://youtu.be/8mKWCsWzppw
Thanks for the book introduction, Hiroko Oyamada is a novelist from Hiroshima. I am interested in her. It has been a long time since I read unique literature.
Patty: I just got my copy of “ A Book of Days”and the cover page is glorious. It completely bowled me over. I’ve been flipping through the book for now, to be savored and read during my vacation which starts next week. Thank you. It’s beautiful.
Oh Patty, I feel I'm in good company as I just noticed my hair is a static-filled mess this morning, winter weather always turns my hair into a crackly brush fire! I just tried to braid it, and touching it only made it impossible, so it's in a knot on top of my head, I put a hat on to keep it under control. (My hat has cat ears on it, it's hilarious, I think my son gave it to me a while back.) My to-read pile continues to grow with every book recommendation from you, I love them all! I look forward to the poem. Hugs, take care of yourself as well!
Grateful to Cairo and her Human Mamacita for this new literary list! So much reading ... so little time... or so it seems. My isolated COVID state should gift me with many reflective reading moments. Thank you Dear Muse on high...

Yasunari Kawabata "Snow Country" is one of the most poignant and beautiful books I have ever read.
