Cairo was so loved and she knew that she was loved very much. I lit a candle in memory of Cairo and my beautiful cats who have passed. 🕯️

Such a lovely photo of you in front of the majestic Reims cathedral, taken by Jesse.

ahhh this stroll on the Rimbaud property... to walk in that light and feel the grass and twigs below your feet. Magical light and thought.

Again so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Cairo.

Much much gratitude for the missive and the pictorial accompaniment. Love and wishes for a great productive trip for you and Jessie . Crowe is galloping around somewhere beyond the rainbow bridge. Be well.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful post! I especially loved the Reims post. I had planned to go there by train in June, but I had to cut my visit to France short. I promised myself I’d do It early on my next visit!

I hope your tour goes well!

A lovely post, Patti, thank you. I was so sorry to hear about Cairo, but it was uplifting to read Jesse's beautiful words. We were very lucky to have a gorgeous cat, who my son named Gizmo, come live with us. He has a similar, incredibly gentle and mellow nature. Gizmo was very aware of the emotions of those around him, and came and sat on my chest for hours, looking into my face at a time when I was grieving. Gizmo crossed the rainbow bridge 2 years ago, and is so missed.

Peace to you,

Cath Archer

Dearest Patti, I’m sending love to you and your family. Our animals are cherished members of our family and when they leave us, they leave a huge void. But you have wonderful memories of Cairo and I hope that you are able to take comfort in those memories every day. xxx

I have just cheated and read ahead in your Book of Days. October 7 Madame Curie's birthday. I am 74 and read a biography in about Grade Six. Since then she has been one of my champions. You too. A favour for you to consider. October 7, 1991 was the day that Anita Hill was introduced to the world. By coincidence I was a first time tourist in DC and sat in the afternoon and into the night in the Galleries of Congress watching the unfolding of Thomas' battle to win his seat. Over the weekend I reminded myself by reading the Congressional Record of the proceedings. It would be perfect if you add her to your list of remembrances on October 7. We owe so much to her. Thanks

Yesterday I lit a candle for my beloved feline soulmate Chai, at a blessing of the animals service, and I'm glad you two got the chance to do the same. The "feast day" of St.Francis is 10/4, so there's a lot of blessed pets around! God bless you and Jesse in your time of mourning.....
