Congrats Patti! A year of milestones indeed. I read Just Kids when my first born was in utero in 2010 and it carried me through so much as a young single Mama trying to find my feet as an artist and I am currently pregnant with my second now, so very much looking forward to all this year brings both on a personal level and in your work. I was also very excited to find out you're playing Medellin next week with Soundwalk Collective simultaneously with the sad news of David Lynch's passing. I happen to be here for the next month (visiting my Son who lives here now) so see you at EL MAMM for the needed tonic you always provide.
Nothing much to add as it’s all been said so well and by so many, but to theirs I add my congratulations and thanks for sharing your journey with us. I too look forward to reading your new work.
I also add my thoughts on the passing of David Lynch, a singular artist and fascinating person. I’ve not been as dedicated to my meditation as he was, but I share his interest in all things spiritual. “Elephant Man” left a lasting impression on me and Joseph Merrick’s story is one I continue to think about thanks to Mr Lynch. (“Though my appearance be something odd / blaming me is blaming God” - Joseph Merrick)
That’s all I can write for now. Much to do and a busy week still ahead. All the best to you, Patti, and to everyone! Peace has found you, David, and you it.
Kudos on finishing your book! I look forward to reading it! Thanks for sharing your 'victory' with us! Sad for the loss of David Lynch -- i had seen him speak several times - he was so involved with getting meditation into schools - we surely need it!
Congrats on the completion of your book! What a milestone. Celebrate 🎉
Congratulations on completing your book Patti. You continue to be an inspiration, I can't wait to read it!
