I come back to this song on an early Monday morn when work would begin in the days when I could count on my steps and the thoughts in my head. I come to this song to lift me to sing, to bring me around again.
This resurgence of energy is taking me into tears and joy. I loved this song and it's truth. It's good to be accompanied by good heart medicine songs as we reemerge. I'll look forwards to hearing which song was the right one . with warmth xxx
I love Tanita Tikaram. I had forgotten about her for years and maybe 6mos. ago she came on autoplay - some streaming service (Spotify or YouTube?) based on my current listening/watching - and for once I was thankful for that Big Tech Brother algorithm. I was immediately transported to a different time in my life. Yes, olfactory memory retrieval is intense (Moroccan Mint Tea) and works on a more primal level. But music is similarly powerful and I love that it can move you, both by surprise and by choice.
PS I'm still thinking on which cover song but I'll let you know!🖤
Suddenly I decided to listen to Work..it s catchy, attractive ,Beautiful voice, and mood, it touches my chords...I liked it soon then and else The "sound of the train" leads to the sense of coming and going., cause of WORK; the line But with you on my side..is powerful, as People need to be elicited , supported veey often, so that one can be self assured..Grateful to you patty to have recalled the song. Just this morning I listened to the James in a music shop..and bought the cd..British sound !However..Charlotte has a powerful voice, thanks thanks..On the road again, was one of my favourite..now a bit ofNostalgia.!If I listen to the rythm and the distant sound I feel like escaping, where ?I don t know..BUT I SHOULD GO..fantastic to have shared some music with you,.enjoy your stay in Philadelphia and your beloved Linda, I do know what a sister may represent...Everything., I will WORK then till It 's carried out!!
I am 64, in Lexington, Kentucky. It took all these years, but I have a tkt. to see you in Kingston, NY in November. Stay safe and I will too. Wishing you Happiness and sending you my thanks. SC
and if that is too painful, try the same soundtrack: If You Wanna Be High e High. If You Wanna Be Low Be Low. 'Cause there's a million ways to go...you know that there are."- Cat
Hello Patti, I read through some of the Query suggestions from other readers. I wanted to shout out the requests for Will the Circle Be Unbroken and the Man Who Sold the World. Thanks Patti, looking forward to any new music you release. (:
Good morning, Patti! I hope I’m not late. My suggestion is to cover one of The Cranberries songs. My favorite songs are: Salvation, When you are gone, Dreams, Fee Fi Foo, Animal instinct, Ridiculous Thoughts, Promises.
Thank you Patti for introducing me to Charlotte Day Wilson. I’m listening to Stone Woman now . . . Re-emerging from these last many months is gonna take work, grateful you are here, and missing those who no longer are.
Patti, this video reminds me when I lived and worked in Paris. I loved the forced slowness of the escalator... Merci encore pour ces mots et cette chanson !
Thanks Patti need that today! Also bummed cause I won't be able to make your gig at Surley's in Minneapols...oh well you'll be great!
Thank you for the music. The video was so engaging for a voyeur, and you thoughts were interesting to know.

"Trouble" By Cat Stevens, From film "Harold and Maude"
Kristen Hersh does an amazing cover of it! You should give it a listen.

Thank you for introducing these songs. I put them on a playlist on Spotify 😅 I really needed to hear something like Work today.
