Patti, I know it's rude to shill on Substack. But, we have something in common, love for the Chelsea Hotel. The below project I'm leading with other former residents is intended to document and honor the legacy that you and so many others struggled to create. Please know through that legacy we intend to extend that opportunity to future generations. Please follow up or forward to your agent.

Enjoy, DonJon.

Hello from Phillip Island (Millowl), near Melbourne Australia, Patti. A fan since 1976 I first saw you in concert at the Palais in St Kilda in 1997. an inspirational concert. The opening act for the concert was our introduction to the indigenous artists, Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter, a couple.

And so began a wonderful journey of concerts featuring this inspirational pair. Unfortunately, Ruby died in 2010, a few months after we saw both she and Archie performing in Language with the Black Arm Band. An emotional concert,

Last night, the sad news came through that Archie had died. My heart feels broken at the moment, but I thank you for being the instrument of introducing my husband and I to this talented and giving couple.

Love from Kay

Oh, it's been so long since I heard someone actually reading Howl, especially this part: he's with is, you're with us, so it's a double holy.

This tiny book that opened my world. Thanks. This is rockin'.
