Hello everyoneI am sorry i have been absent. A health situation obliged me to have a hospital stay in Bologna but I am fine. Too much attention was given in the press but I had no control of that. I am fine, just a few of adjustments and rest required
I am sending some pictures and i hope to get back on track soon. I am grateful for all my subscribers and take my Substack seriously. The pictures are St. Peter from my window in Bologna. Dante and Virgil and a view of Sienna and our venue in Sienna the beautiful Basilica. The best I can send from the car!
Sending all good wishes always
Patti, Today, I read this poem for the first time. I felt soothed by it. I hope it holds a similar experience for you. 🎈

The Patience of Ordinary Things
by
Pat Schneider
*
It is a kind of love, is it not?
How the cup holds the tea,
How the chair stands sturdy and foursquare,
How the floor receives the bottoms of shoes
Or toes. How soles of feet know
Where they’re supposed to be.
I’ve been thinking about the patience
Of ordinary things, how clothes
Wait respectfully in closets
And soap dries quietly in the dish,
And towels drink the wet
From the skin of the back.
And the lovely repetition of stairs.
And what is more generous than a window?
