These are fabulous photographs. Love seeing you with your son. You are the essence of Venus.

The hotel where Verlaine shot Rimbaud! What a great photo. And the grave of Wittgenstein--- also poignant, yet beautiful. You are eternally cool, Patti.💖💖

Thank you Patti! Beautiful. I am so glad you are on the move!

Patti, Your power trio is love to the core. May you have safe and joyful travels on and off stage. If it inspires you to speak on the band dynamics from a female perspective, so be it. The guitar playing by you son is true, pure and heroic.

Patti was Wittgenstein a philosopher or an architect? I guess I’m asking at the end of his life…and I always thought his work was more Art Deco as opposed to Bauhaus on the exterior. Regards.

I love the photos, the wildflower go on forever. You and your son, 2 peas in a pod.

I spent a few hours reading, and reading about Verlaine and Rimbaud. You’re a wonderful resource, Patti. Thank you.

I guess only in Belgium would they comemorate the hotel (and date) where Verlaine shot Rimbaud...

Loved the homage to John Cage!

I feel so ashamed that a transatlantic flight wipes me out for 36 hours and look at you go go go and perform every night on top of it AND write and speak to us. It's like you are solar and lunar powered.

Nice to see the photos on this rainy Ohio day!

Thanks for this Patti, I can't get the audio to work either. Loved the wildflower shots. Did you get the honey at Bearded Theory? Random glamorous woman said 'I'll get my assistant' (or was it sister, we wondered. Was she even talking to us?) She was. And she did come back, with another woman who was suspicious that the honey might contain illegal substances. But she took it anyway.

I noticed people closer to me have caught recently….daughter (at PA school), good friend who works at hospital)….it looks like another wave….the kind you don’t want to catch! Stay safe and don’t let down your guard down. Masks still very effective.

Expand full comment

I hope your case is a mild one and passes quickly. I was fortunate enough that, when I caught it, that's what happened. Sending good thoughts your way. Let us know how it's going for you. Take good care.

Expand full comment

Hope so too… Thanks for kind thoughts and will let you know 🌿🌿

Expand full comment

I’m sorry. Take care of yourself. Hydrate and do deep breathing. Take as many steamy showers as you have the energy to and force yourself to cough in the shower, even if it hurts some. The steam and coughing will help to clear (or keep clear) your lungs. Wishing you a swift recovery.

Thank you so much, Robin. I will exactly do so (in my part of France, close to Paris). So grateful

Of course, Martheen. Take care.

I just finished your wonderful Tour Diary 2 when these photos popped up in my inbox. I can't get the audio to work but the pictures speak a thousand words. Love your pants in the group shot... the power trio and singer. So many beautiful places from the wildflowers to the city hall. And what an amazing thing to stand next to Wittgenstein's grave or to be on the actual spot where Verlaine shot Rimbaud. The air must just be alive with the spirits of the past. Thanks for doing this on top of touring, Patti. I can't tell you how much it's appreciated.

Expand full comment

I said the same about the pictures having not even seen your comment. And I agree about the pants and the awesomeness of standing next to Wittgenstein’s grave and the actual spot where Verlaine shot Rimbaud.
