Gratitude to you, Patti & Lenny, an intimate performance, just the 3 of us…Beautiful it was, which left me feeling hungry for more & reminiscing of a time at Silvia’s in Harlem in 2010. I was a tourist in town & took myself off to Amateur Night at the Apollo, arriving early, I came across Silvia’s & had the most beautiful meal. I also had the good fortune of meeting & talking with Sylvia & her daughter. It was a memorable evening on all accounts.
this was obviously beautiful but as someone who did real estate in manhattan for several years I am looking at the original, very old floorboards with admiration
Ah, beautiful! I've only watched it just now - several times though! Loved the little stories of how you did the live recording with everyone (and that you can still sometimes hear your brother in it too!!), and also the "vertical chords". Thank you!
So sad to hear about the Elizabeth Street Garden. I never managed to see it but it looks like it must be such a loss for the area. (I love those little green spaces in cities too. I always need a rest and quiet / calm area in between the rush from time to time. City planners/developers / councils etc don't seem to value those enough. The big ones are good but there is just something really different about those smaller community places. This year when I was in London I went to the Phoenix garden which luckily isn't threatened as such but there is a project of a big/high building being placed adjacent that will take a lot of sunlight away from the garden which will have an impact on what can grow and the atmosphere in the garden).
What a lovely privilege to be part of this. So very uplifting.
Thanks how beautiful!!

Thank you so much for your music, your poetry and your hopeful spirit!
Thank you so much! Soul food is what I call your post with or without the food!😎❤️
So wonderful. All that was missing was little Cairo :( In our thoughts, though.
