I had these feelings when I obtained (never stole) a few articles of your clothing. I could feel your presence and essence lingering in my soul. It was a great comfort to know I got them back to you. You were so kind and understanding, and that night we found where some lost things go.
I have taken days to read this post for no other reason but the emotion and necessity of life as a mother and child of the earth, engaged by necessity and uncommon love for tending to daily domestic life simultaneously with a wonder at the climate of burgeoning change.
I shared last night, with my most cherished friend in all realms, an honest feeling about losing your best friend. In actuality, it was exactly about you and a two other women I respect for the honour, dignity and regard you revered and continue to with open hearts, for the loves of your rich public, private lives.
Yesterday, I stood by my kitchen sink with a full heart and cried for you and these two other women.
I have absolutely no idea why. But there I was. And here I am sharing it.
I live for bravery of spirit and love.
Cherish is a word I rarely use but tonight I will. I cherish these posts, these times, these unseen and untouched realms.
Thank you deeply for the reminder, ‘Perhaps to remind myself, as I must, that this troubled world is not the only world. There are multiple worlds, and tonight this is one of mine. One containing beauty and mourning. A lost love, lost youth or one’s own dexterity.
Thank you so much for posting the haunting photo of Dame Margot's slippers and your pearl necklace. Giselle isy favorite ballet. I cry every time I watch it.
Wow Patti! Those shoes are visibly imbued with her depth of her artistry and ability to transform her body and soul into her role. The shoes are so evenly worn. I love being able to see the trace of her feet. So perfectly symmetrical. Beautiful photograph. Love what your pearls add. Love the amount of sweat in her shoes! Thank you so much for sharing; I’ve never seen your photos of her shoes. 🪴
...oria of atmospheric scenes long ago somehow deleted and re-recalled until vision worn as well-used ballet shoes grows sands of time into pearls of intimacy...
I saw her about 6-7x long ago when I was young… With Rudi 💙
I became a dancer 🩰
Such a beautiful ballerina ~ such a beautiful artist.... 🙏❤️🌺🩰✨️
This an excellent piece. I aspire to write with this succintness, clarity, and freedom
