Kyoto morning walk with crows

nothing like their sacred sound

Early this morning I took a walk down (or up) a path parallel to the river, Mostly because I knew the crows that guard the cemetery would be up calling through the trees lough enough to wake Edgar Alan Poe. The crows are much larger than our crows and completely fearless, crafty and not unfriendly.

I took some urban snapshots in Kyoto. There are many beautiful shrines to say nothing of the restored temple of the golden pavilion. But I also like some of the older architecture and random streets. I am about to catch the train back to Tokyo so I will send a few pictures and write more later. Also I am including the coffee place I fell in love with but it was always closed. My crazy luck….
