I had the Book of Days bought for me as a gift ...a wonderful gift...and I thought to read one page a day for the next year...impossible!! First glance I read right through to March....so hard not to sit and finish it in one session...Thank you Patti..it's another much appreciated treasure from you.X
Well I waited as long as I could to watch this. My capacity to leave unopened a gift stretches toward preposterousness. I can go years without disturbing a wrapped thing — just anticipating and cherishing.
This was worth the wait and also worth the tears I shed hearing you read what with all my heart I hope to believe: that the moral arc of the universe, though long, bends toward justice. May it be so.
Thank you, Patti, for this space; thanks to everyone who contributes to making it warm, friendly, safe. I would always be grateful for it but am especially so now, being sick, often in pain and afraid.
Patti, your idea of stopping time is beautiful. One wants to say, “Stay, Illusion,” as Horatio in “Hamlet” does.
Lovely to see you and Cairo looking relaxed and happy. Many people seem tired this year, we have all been through so much and it has taken its toll. The new moon will bring some energy and the days are getting longer and here in London l spotted Snowdrops, so beautiful and full of promise for the spring to come 🙏
Patti I love your individuality and creativity and courage.
I just watched a SHORT YouTube of your previous incarnation!!! It's Sylvia Beach the founder of Shakespeare and Co. book shop in Paris( I know you've been there many times, as have I).. please look it up...she founded Shakespeare and Co.
she published Ulysses, wqhich was banned in US...SHE was friends with James Joyce and Hemmingwy etc...she stayed in Paris when the Nazi's invaded...she stood up to them!!! she was arrested....and later freed ...and danced in the streets when they left Paris and reopened her book shop!!
what an extraordinary woman....I do hope you can see her interview!!!
I feel truly gifted whenever you "stop by," Patti. My black long-haired 15-year-old handsome tomcat "Monkey" is always by my side sharing alongside Cairo. We love you guys so much and look forward to each precious visit-!!
Your talks are so personal and intimate. You feel like a real friend. Thank you. I'm also a fan of Vicky Krebs and Phantom Thread and am going to see Corsage! Love that you've seen it twice. As a mutual birthday present, my oldest and best friend and I are spending a weekend the Chelsea Hotel. We will say hi from you to any spirits we encounter :)
Hugs to you and Cairo! Love seeing you!

we love Cairo 💖
Cairo♥️
Cairo looks great for her age! Wow!!!!!
Love the idea of the world taking a "pause". Everyone stopping, sitting, (maybe outside), listening....and just breathing.
I love you Patti
Your intimate chats & updates I’m sure bring inspiration & dare I say comfort to the many of your fans who subscribe, they do that for me.
Kia kaha ((strength to you) from a fan in Aotearoa NZ x

“Wouldn’t it be great if you could just stop everything? Like a world truce?”
Absolutely. Your wish reminds me of a Van Morrison song called “Mystic Eyes,” with additional lyrics by Tom Petty —
And I thought to myself
Wouldn’t it be great
Wouldn’t it be great if just for one moment
Everything was alright
I would give this to you, baby
I would give you a moment
Where everything’s good
Everything’s safe
Everything’s warm
A moment where everything is alright
Patti I love your individuality and creativity and courage.

Cairo, you beauty! You don’t look a day over 11. Hugs to you.
You bring such depth in under five minutes. And Cairo is looking very spritely for a 21 year old. Good health and good friendships to you in 2023!
