It is February 27th. Today is Ralph Nader’s 90th birthday. I think of him, as I am working in Mexico. Decades of humanitarian service. There are so many thoughts crossing my mind but the most powerful force I am experiencing that of being drawn to sleep. Today was a long day in Guadalajara. Finishing the last touches for an exhibition with Soundwalk Collective, a long walk in the heat, a press conference, meeting students, and the exhibit itself. I wanted to send you a few from the pre-exhibition. Truthfully I am so tired that I can’t wait to turn in. But I will be back with pictures from the colorful streets. Wishing all a good night.

The photo looks very evocative, like a Vermeer portrait in a strange way.!
Thank you for this post and photographs. I like the photograph of you working with the volcanic rock, the testing of the fabric of time, and the mention of the colourful streets. It reminded me of something that for a few weeks It kept crossing my mind that I thought you might like. I just decided to post a link to it here after reading this post. For years I have been interested and enjoyed peering into paintings by Bob Dylan, and I hadn't been one for considering where they were from, the scenes.. Recently I saw one, a woman at an open window. I was interested who she was, .. after searching I realised that no one seemed to know where the scene had come from (Many of the Deep Focus paintings are scenes from films),.. for a few days I attempted to figure it out, and with quite a bit of searching, and watching, and a few grains of luck, I somehow found this. A Bob Dylan painting within the silent film, In The Street, from 1948. A film by Helen Levitt. I put some Bob Dylan music to it. https://youtu.be/mkQRx6F8lr0?si=PWlmkATSxQfA_wR2
