I love whatever you post. It finds its way to my heart, my soul. The crazy times we are living, yikes! But than there are the messages from Patti, and I have reason to smile, laugh, think with my heart. You give soooo much, and me being a tech-no-phobe, it takes me a good minute to get to your latest post. Love you and Lenny live!! The love and respect you share is palpable. Gracias for BEING! There is a shift happening...I can feel it in my soul,my heart. Remember Leonard Peltier, freed to go home. Who really thought that would happen? We cannot give up! We cannot! Will not!

I love when sicence, history, philosophy and arts overlap / how they all can gain so much from the others actually. I must read the book by Paul de Kruip, totally up my street!! Thank you for another wonderful and inspiring visit!

This is an unrelated question to your video, just something that I wanted to ask you (but had no other way to do so)! What is it that you love about Artuad’s writings? I am reading him for the first time (Anthology) and from what I have read, it is truly sad. Beautiful, but leaves me scared of the world. It could be I am too sensitive. But anyway, it was just something I was curious about.

Dearest Patti, thanks for reminding how we talk ourselves into deep wells feeling bad about not doing our work.

What is so silly about us, humans ? why we punish ourselves ?

Especially for anyone in creative field, when we work for ourselves, this notions " I`m not doing enough, oh...wasted another day, nothing again, wait till tomorrow. One good day this week ... and on an on, no work again "

I wonder if animals have this problem? I bet Cairo didn`t have such dilema x

Thanks for making me laugh out laud.

I haven`t done much today, BUT its been a good week, and work - I did. :) I can clock out now.

Have a lovely weekend Patti.

Looking forward to your next dispatch x

I am amazed that you were able to find the resting place of Leeuwenhoek. What were the chances?! His spirit took you by the hand, saying “come I will take you there.” Is how I see it. I just cannot get enough of your beautiful podcasts Patti.

I don’t comment often but I wanted you to know that you are precious to me Patti. To hear you speak about your writing and your book is as exciting to me as it was for you to find a copy of a book signed by the writer himself. I love you!

Dearest Patti,

thank you for yet another great "visit", as you call them.

I live in Delft and I wish you had bumped into me while looking for Leeuwenhoek's grave!

I would have told you about the Oude Kerk, where he rests together with Vermeer and many more. But you found out anyway!

I would have also told you where to get great ice cream nearby.

Next time

Congratulations on getting those copy edits completed, i'm sure it was quite the task.

Thank you so much for the positivity and wonders...

of so much work done.

of little work done.

of found books.

of invented words (on purpose).

of "mantles of lace".

of science!

How coincidental that you misplaced your glasses while talking about the man who invented the lens. Listening and watching you as you share stream of consciousness musings about your books, your glasses, your black coat, your comings and goings is such a pleasant way to pass the time whilst my country crumbles all around me. Thank you, dear Patti, for the respite.

Dear Patti, thank you for your visit, the intro made me laugh and the rest was so interesting. It's so good to stay curious and discover things as an adult, as we often did as children. I love the story about the scientists who discovered the tiny living things in the world. I recently read a book about moss and the tiny tardigrades that live in it, it was fascinating. Thank you for reading from Wittgenstein's diary. Postponing my own creative work, what is really close to my heart, I know so well. Sometimes something has to mature in the subconscious. And often not... Sending much love and gratitude

I believe scientists are artists and artists are scientists. We all search, search for what it means to be human, what it means to be alive.

So true! I often muse about this. And science, much like art is forever evolving and morphing into something new!
