Good afternoon everybody. I have been thinking about Bob Dylan’s work through the years and wondered what song to listen to, and also what one to choose here. I played a lot of from the John Wesley Harding album which I love, Desolation Row, Ballad in Plain D but stopped at It’s Alright Ma (I’m only bleeding) from Bringing it all back Home.. It spoke to me, in its time, on many levels. It articulated the duality of having a conscious and wanting to be free.
So this is my choice. What song are you listening to? A title, a few words. And naturally, well wishes to Bob Dylan on his 83rd birthday.
Planet Waves is still my favorite Dylan LP. I love the song Hazel on that album. I think it is the only studio album he made with The Band.
This thread is a keeper. Agree with so many. Haven't yet seen "Hurricane." The whole album.
Saw Bob and Rolling Thunder Revue in Worcester MA, November 1975.
