I'm reading backwards at the moment as this year was so busy - catching up. It's now already the last day of 2022!

I haven't revisited Pinocchio since I was a child - probably time now!! I've just ordered a copy of your book for my sister (in the German translation as she usually wants to read in German even if she's good with English too - it is after a ll different if you don't live and think in the language that you're reading). I think she will love it and she is going through a hard time now so it will be good to have something for every day!

All the best for the New Year Patti! Thank you so much :-)

Hi Patti, do you still have the gold cross filling from all those years ago? Why do I remember this? I am not a stranger to extractions, salty water and the ever-present comfort of a fine cat. Your new book arrived with a signature, thanks to McNally Jackson as I wont make your book tour dates. Last time I saw you was in Dublin, a fine full moon celebration. Looking forward to more! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all yours!

Hi Patti - I'm looking forward to seeing you read and perform in San Rafael tomorrow night. Almost 46 years ago, you very kindly agreed to let me come backstage at Curtis Hixon Hall in Tampa. I was a college student lugging a heavy "portable" JVC video camera making a short video for a class I was taking. I got to stay through the sound check and ended up right in front of the stage, along with my husband and a good friend. When you fell, we tried our best to catch you. Loved you then and love you now. Thank you so much for so many years of joy and inspiration.

Patti, thanks for your generous and other-directed spirit. I was so happy that the copy I ordered of _Book of Days_ arrived Nov. 15, the day after I turned 79. I think my favorite Day/page is this one, p. 27, 27 January: "Reading Nerval has always inspired me to write. This is the greatest gift that an artist bequeaths to future artists, igniting the desire to produce their own work." Amen, sister! Danke Schoen, Gratias!

I always thought Pinocchio story was a sweet one, too.

Dear Patti, so glad you got that pesky tooth out. When I saw you on Saturday, Nov. 19 @ the Old Town School of Folk Music w/ your son Jackson, you mentioned it. The show was so fabulous, even with the antibiotics. Your choice of songs was absolutely perfect, Jackson's accompaniment was so wonderful and the in between songs chatting was like we were all in your living room. What a perfect venue for this laid back evening with you. Love you

I am so happy, Patti, I will see you tonight in San Francisco. We haunted the same streets of New York, my hometown, at the same time, but now we finally “meet”.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Patti. I missed this last night because I was watching a new documentary, Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill. It was presented by DOC NYC. It was really quite moving. Lots of her personal thoughts about her music and dreams for herself.

Take care of yourself. Been through the tooth being pulled. Keep rinsing!
